Mid-Autumn Festival Cultural Fair 2025 — A Joyful Celebration of Family and Tradition

On October 4, 2025, Charlotte Chinese Story Time hosted its annual Mid-Autumn Festival Cultural Fair at the Pineville Library Community Room, welcoming over 103 families — more than 300 participants in total — throughout the afternoon between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM.

The event was filled with laughter, creativity, and cultural discovery as families explored nine interactive booths, each showcasing a special aspect of traditional Chinese culture. Children and parents alike enjoyed making snow-skin mooncakes, crafting bunny lanterns, guessing lantern riddles, trying calligraphy, and playing games such as ring toss, pitch-pot, and archery.

📸 The room was alive with color and excitement as families learned, played, and created together.

“The experience was awesome — 5/5 stars for sure! My kids and I enjoyed everything about it.”– Cameron H.
“Our family had a wonderful time! There are very few Asian cultural events in Charlotte, so we truly appreciate this opportunity to learn and celebrate together.”– Valerie S.

The event received overwhelmingly positive feedback from families who appreciated both the cultural experience and the welcoming, hands-on activities. Many parents shared how meaningful it was for their children to connect with traditional Chinese culture in such a fun and engaging environment.

We are deeply grateful for the support from the Pineville Library, as well as our generous sponsors — United Chinese Americans (UCA) and the UCA Community Foundation (UCACF) — whose partnership made this event possible.
