Happy Thanksgiving 2022 at Charlotte Chinese Story Time

We had a heartwarming and festive Thanksgiving Story Time at Charlotte Chinese Story Time, where families gathered to celebrate gratitude and togetherness through stories, language, and play.

This special session introduced children to the meaning of Thanksgiving through Chinese stories, songs, and baby sign language activities. Jenny led the children in learning Thanksgiving-related signs such as leaf, pumpkin, party, and corn, helping them connect words, gestures, and meanings in a fun and engaging way.

We also read stories about the origin of Thanksgiving and discussed how we can express appreciation to our parents and loved ones. The children listened attentively, participated with excitement, and shared what they were thankful for.

To make the storytime even more interactive, we included movement games and group activities that brought families together. The joyful laughter of children and parents filled the room as everyone joined in the celebration.

This event marked another memorable moment for Charlotte Chinese Story Time — reminding us of the importance of gratitude, cultural connection, and community learning.
