We were thrilled to host our first in-person Chinese Story Time at South County Regional Library since the pandemic! Families and children gathered to celebrate the beauty of fall through stories, songs, and crafts — it was a joyful morning filled with laughter, learning, and community.
Our storyteller Jingjing captivated the children with delightful tales about the autumn season, sharing stories in Chinese that explored colorful leaves, harvest time, and the changing weather. The kids sang along to cheerful fall songs and joined in lively finger plays that had everyone smiling and moving.
After story time, families enjoyed exploring our fall-themed decorations, taking photos, and connecting with one another. It was heartwarming to see children proudly saying Chinese words they had learned and sharing the fun moments with their parents.
This event marked an important milestone for Charlotte Chinese Story Time, symbolizing the return of our on-site community gatherings and the continuation of our mission — to bring families together through the joy of Chinese language and culture.
We are deeply grateful to Jingjing for leading this beautiful session, and to Julie, Lydia, and Jenny for capturing the precious moments through photos and videos.
Please enjoy the recap video below! We hope these happy memories inspire more families to join us at future events.
Meet our storytellers Jingjing and Jenny.
