Children’s Lunar New Year Showcase – Performer Recruitment Now Open!

Hosted by Charlotte Chinese Storytime, the First Annual Children’s Lunar New Year Showcase will be held on

 📅 Saturday, February 21, 2026

 📍 Fullwood Theater.

Who Can Apply: 

• Children’s performance groups

• School clubs

• Enrichment programs

• Individuals

Performance Types: 

• Group singing & instrumental ensembles 

• Dance (including folk, K-pop, classical, hip-hop, etc.) 

• Martial arts, cultural showcases, and traditional art demonstrations

📌 Participation Guidelines

We welcome both group and individual applications for the 2026 Children’s Lunar New Year Gala.

• Each performance should be approximately 3 to 5 minutes in length.

• The application deadline is September 30, 2025. Selected performers will be notified in early October.

• All selected performers are required to attend the mandatory rehearsal on Sunday, February 8, 2026 (afternoon).

• Performances should be positive, culturally or artistically meaningful, and must not include religious, political, or commercial content.

• The organizers reserve the right to select, schedule, and make final decisions regarding all performances.

• A background video with music must be submitted by the performer or group leader for stage production purposes.
