Watching the children learn Chinese on screen reminded us why we do what we do.

For our children growing up in America, learning Chinese isn’t just about vocabulary, characters, or homework.

It’s about being able to understand a grandparent’s story. It’s about knowing where your family came from. It’s about keeping a connection between generations. ❤️

At CCST, we hope Chinese is never simply a language our children are asked to learn, but something they experience through stories, friendships, traditions, laughter, and memories.

Every story they hear, every Chinese word they learn, every cultural experience they share — we are planting a little seed. 🌱

Maybe one day, they’ll understand just how precious that connection is.

What a day, Charlotte! 🏮🐇

Lanterns, mooncakes, calligraphy, riddles, archery, traditional games, shadow puppetry — and so many smiling faces.

Our larger indoor venue gave everyone space to explore, create, play, and experience Chinese culture together. Seeing children proudly carrying their lanterns, families trying something new, and friends from different backgrounds celebrating side by side was exactly what we hoped for. ❤️

This year, each child participant will receive a cute Jade Rabbit headband when they arrive. In Chinese Mid-Autumn legends, the Jade Rabbit lives on the moon with Chang’e and has become a beloved symbol of kindness, good wishes, and the beauty of the full moon. ✨

We hope children can wear their bunny ears, step into the story, and experience Chinese culture in a joyful, playful way.
