Charlotte Chinese Story Time (CCST) is grateful to announce the successful completion of its 2026 24-Hour Online Giving Campaign, which raised $14,253 to support free Chinese language and cultural programs for children and families in the Greater Charlotte community.

On June 6, 2026, CCST launched its first 24-hour online giving campaign with an initial goal of raising $12,000. Thanks to the generosity of donors, families, volunteers, board members, matching donors, and community partners, CCST reached its $12,000 goal in just 4 hours and 20 minutes. By the end of the 24-hour campaign, the total amount raised had reached $14,253, exceeding the original goal and reflecting the strength of community support behind CCST’s mission.
This campaign represents an important milestone for CCST. As a grassroots, volunteer-led nonprofit organization, CCST has worked for years to create welcoming spaces where children can learn Chinese, experience culture, build confidence, and develop meaningful connections with their heritage and community. The response to this campaign reminds us that this work is seen, needed, and deeply valued.
Funds raised through the campaign will help CCST continue offering and strengthening its free public programs, including Chinese storytime sessions, cultural workshops, community events, children’s performances, educational activities, and family-centered cultural experiences. These programs are designed to make Chinese language and culture accessible to children while fostering belonging, confidence, and community connection.
“We are deeply moved by this collective achievement,” said the CCST Leadership Team. “We are grateful to our matching donors, whose generous support helped inspire broader participation, and to every individual and family who contributed. Every gift, no matter the size, helped make this campaign possible.”
CCST extends heartfelt thanks to all donors, families, volunteers, supporters, and community partners who stood with us during this campaign. Your support helps ensure that CCST can continue offering free and meaningful programs for children and families across the Charlotte area.
Looking ahead, CCST remains committed to the same purpose that inspired its beginning: bringing Chinese language and culture to life for children, strengthening community connections, and creating spaces where families feel welcomed, supported, and proud of their heritage.
We will continue this work with gratitude, care, and purpose.
