Join Charlotte Chinese Story Time for a special Mid-Autumn Festival Chinese Storytime at South County Library!
As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, we will celebrate this beloved Chinese holiday through stories, songs, interactive games, and a simple hands-on craft. Children and families will learn about the moon, lanterns, mooncakes, and the beautiful legends behind this season of reunion.
During this storytime, we will share classic and meaningful stories including Hou Yi Shoots the Suns, Chang’e Flies to the Moon, A Taste of the Moon, and Little Star’s Big Mooncake. Through these stories, children will explore Chinese traditions, imagination, family togetherness, and the magic of the moon.
Families can also enjoy interactive songs, movement activities, and a fun Mid-Autumn-themed craft to take home.
This program is best suited for children ages 0–8, but all family members are welcome to join.
